Behavior Support & Intervention at Brave Warriors NCW

What happens if my child has a behavior incident?

At Brave Warriors NCW, our staff are trained and certified in QBS Safety Care, which focuses on prevention, de-escalation, and redirection. Most situations are resolved quickly and safely.

In the rare event that a participant’s behavior becomes unsafe and all strategies have been used, a parent or emergency contact will be called to pick them up.

If this occurs:

  • A manager or the Executive Director will schedule a 1:1 meeting with the parent/caregiver to review the situation.

  • Our Behavior Support Specialist will create a follow-up intervention plan tailored to the participant’s needs.

  • Together, we’ll put supports in place to help the participant feel safe, successful, and confident when returning.

Our goal is always to work in partnership with families so that participants can thrive in a safe and supportive environment.
